Employee Ribbons to Brighten Up Your Day :)
Are you a full-time employee? Do you feel your 8-hour day-to-day work crushing the inner side of you?
Actually, it’s normal to feel that way! With increasing competition, many employees feel pressured to do more for their job.
Does it mean that you sacrifice your well-being for the sake of work? Absolutely not!
Here are 5 tips on how to survive your 9 to 5 job and some employee ribbons to brighten up your day!
1. Leave work at work
Worrying about your to-do lists, even during non-working hours doesn’t help you with your job. It will only make you feel tired and unproductive the next day.
Leave work at work. When you arrive home, live life!
2. Remember you’re a human, and your boss is, too
Your boss may have a significant position and has greater income, but it doesn’t change the fact that both of you are still human beings that were created by God.
Never let your boss makes you feel inferior, and never forget that you are equal in reality.
3. Stop yourself from internalizing
Your boss might yell at you at times and you then might have a bad day. But it’s okay! It doesn’t mean that your boss is mad at you. Mistakes often happen because we are not perfect.
But don’t let those mistakes bother you. Learn from your mistakes and simply move on. As such, it will make you a better employee.
4. Put yourself first
Invitations, appointments and parties can happen during the week and you may feel obligated to go.
But if you feel like you’re just wasting your time or you already don’t have the energy to do so, DON’T GO! Have some rest. I’m sure they will understand.
Exerting too much effort for your job makes you feel like there’s nothing left for yourself. Always have your “ME” time. Remember, you don’t live to work.
5. Remember the End Goal
Consider asking yourself why you applied for the job. If the answer satisfied what you actually want, then stay. However, if it doesn’t, then quit and find a new one that could ultimately satisfy you.
Surviving the job is more on your attitude and perspective. Challenges may arise, but in the end, it will make you stronger than you were before.
