We focused on just a few features in September but we are really setting up for some big changes in October, November and December as outlined in the last few updates!

Incase you missed September’s release notes, here are the new additions to your CakeHR!

Fresh recipes!

Bake your own recipes

Did you notice this? Recipes is a brand new feature found under Settings that allows you to create custom flows for different actions. Currently, this extends to leave requests. You can create a task for an employee to add in a Sick-note after they return or send an email to external payroll clerks. In the future, we will set up alerts for birthdays & anniversaries and continue to update the bakery for document expiration, updates to profiles and much more!

You can pause and set these recipes live as and when you need them for full control.

We need your suggestions! Write to support@cake.hr to let us know what custom workflows triggered from actions you need to make your job easier in the workplace.

Race & Ethnicity

To enhance the way we show our demographics in the HR reports, we have added in a new field, “Race & Ethnicity”. Head to Settings > Employee Data > Race & Ethnicity. As this field may not be required by most companies, this field is not shown on the employee profile until you add your own options under the Settings.

Task Management

Why not? HR is all about improving efficiency so we have added a very quick and simple Task manager into CakeHR. Head to the + button in the top header and select Add Task.

You can assign the task to anybody in the company and emails will be sent to assigned employees to let them know.

Run reports for outstanding tasks under our Reports > Employee Data section.

Bradford Factor

Many customers have multiple countries and, with that, many sick leave policies. Under your Bradford Factor report, you can now choose which policies contribute towards the results. This setting is set per manager.

So this was a short one but, fear not, the product team have been cooking something hot in the oven and you’re going to get an email about it real soon!

Have a great October from all at CakeHR.

Lee.
